I picked this novella up free on Amazon because I've always wanted to read Lori Foster. Overall, the story is good... short, but a solid start to the series, introducing the characters and creating the setting. The characters are all likable, and although I'm not really into the MMA fighting scene, I found them easy to enjoy, especially Harper and Gage. The passion between the primary couple, Harper and Gage, is hot and very sexy. I felt the author did them justice with a short backstory, but I found their initial conflict to be a bit superficial. The flow of the story was solid for the length of the book, and I plan to try more in the series in the future.
My Rating: B
